Hot Minute = Long Time!

Hey Gang!

It has been a hot minute since I have sent something out. No I haven't died or anything like that but it has been a busy little bit. We as Zone Leaders have had a jam packed time with exchanges and fun p-day adventures with the Elders.

My Scottish friend Elder Stephen is leaving me. He is heading down to the Southern River Area to be a Zone Leader down there. I was giving him all the tips and tricks. I will be getting Elder Harris from Utah. It should be a busy transfer.

We were also told that the location of the Zone Leaders apartment in our zone will be moving. So over the course of the month we will be prepping for that.

Some exciting news is that the zone should be set to achieve 5 baptisms within the month which is very exciting. I have a lot of faith that they can pull it off. At the moment we are still just working our tails off with some member visits and whatever appointments we can manage. However most of the days we are tracting heaps which isn’t a bad thing.

I am excited to see what this transfer has for us. I hope it will be a good one. We have some killer District Leaders in the zone.

I love you all have a good week or till I catch up with you again.

Zone Bingo

Hey sorry I didn't have any time to chat this week. We have temple P-day today and big plans to make it out to some sights. We are very busy at the moment. The zone is a tad lack luster so we found a way to spice things up. We are doing zone bingo. Each daily challenge allows them to mark off the corresponding number with the challenge. The grand prize is that us a zone leaders shout that set of missionaries for a free lunch and who wouldn't want that.

We just had stake conference here this past weekend. Elder Stephen and I were greeters at the door so everyone was aware of who we are and what we are up to. We met a cool guy named Louie and gave out heaps of Books of Mormon the past couple of days. We are looking forward to reaping some rewards for the hard work but we will see.

Other than that, a lot of tracting and a huge service removing 15 trees from a yard over the past week. Other than that Elder Stephen and I are doing really well. We are a tad upset that the transfer is flying by so quickly. I have to give a talk this up coming Sunday and I still have no Idea on what to give it on so wish me luck.

Hope you have a blessed week. We are looking forward to general conference.

Tell Cale to get better soon.

I love you all.

New Area, New Companion, New Calling

Hey guys it’s been a while; good enough for a monthly email. J

This month has gone by crazy fast and been full of fun. Earlier in the month we had the Assistants to the President and the new Mission President and his wife up here touring the Pilbura. When they came to visit they brought in smartphone.

This month we were able to bring our weekly average of lessons up which was a major blessing. We are teaching two aboriginal couples and trying to progress them / move them towards marriage. We are also teaching an elderly lady and her grandson and they very much enjoyed learning about the plan of salvation. We picked up a Filipino investigator and her family. They have been in the area from the Philippines for about two years now. The family is a mix of catholic and born-agains and took a lot of interest during our lessons.

Sadly, as the progress has picked up, I have to leave. I am being transferred. At least, I set it up for the next fellas. I will be heading down to the Dayton area which is very close to Perth city, to be the Zone Leader over the Dianella zone. I am excited for the opportunity to serve and to help out as much as I can. I will be serving with a Scottish elder named Elder Stevens.

I have loved the members and the area of Karratha. I would recommend seeing the rock art here and fishing if you know someone with a boat.

Love you all,
Chance
